The Directorate of Advanced Studies and Research administers postgraduate education at the university — the MPhil and PhD programmes, the statutes that govern them, and the notifications that keep candidates and supervisors current.

It works alongside ORIC, which handles research funding, linkages and commercialisation, and the Quality Enhancement Cell, which reviews programme standards.
