Holding programmes to a standard

The Quality Enhancement Cell operates under the umbrella of the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) of the Higher Education Commission, Islamabad. Its job is to make quality a system rather than an aspiration — enforcing good practice in higher education through an effective quality management system.

What the cell does

• Enhances quality of teaching and learning across the faculties
• Maintains consistent standards against HEC criteria
• Monitors institutional performance and reports on it
• Runs the Institutional Quality Circle
• Collects teacher and course evaluations from students each semester

Student evaluations

Two surveys run every semester and are completed by students directly. They feed into programme review, so responses matter.
